This smooth Halal pancake is scrumptious and very easy to make but note these are the fluffy thick pancakes and not crepes. This recipe is based on 100% halal ingredients.

You will need a flat pan and a bowl. You can either user a small pan or a cut out to get the classic pancake size.

 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
 3 ½ tsp baking powder
 1 tsp salt
 1 tbsp white sugar
 1 ¼ cups milk
 1 egg
 3 tbsp melted butter

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth. Now let this sit for 15 minutes. This is key for fluffy pancakes.

Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake (you can eye this bit). Brown it on both sides and serve hot.
