Mufti Ismail Menk

Dr Mufti Ismail Menk is a leading global Islamic scholar born and raised in Zimbabwe. He completed his Hifdh and Qiraat at a young age whilst also learning Arabic and Urdu and studied under his father. He went on to graduate in Islamic Studies at the University of Madina and became Mufti after extensive study at Darul Uloom Kantharia in Gujarat.

Mufti Menk’s work has gained worldwide recognition and he has been named one of “The Top 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World” since 2010.

Mufti Menk is the Head of the Fatwa Department of The Council of Islamic Scholars of Zimbabwe known as Majlisul Ulama Zimbabwe and also one of the Imaams and Muezzin at Masjid Al Falaah in Harare.

It is known, each year, during the Ramadhan , Mufti Menk spends time with the community focusing on a topic, like he did with his Stories of the Prophets series.

It is also known that his work is carried out without any remuneration or financial rewards. There are no copyrights, no charges, no royalties, no patents and no cost involved to invite him.
