Shaykh Muhammad Al-Ninowy
Shaykh Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya al-Ninowy was born in Syria and is a Sayyid. He began studying under his father Yahya Ninowy in Aleppo, Syria. He memorised the Quran and graduated in Islamic Studies including studying both Hanafi and Shafi madhabs.
He attended Al-Azhar University, Faculty of Usool ud-Deen, where he studied under many scholars. He got his PhD in Hadith sciences. He also travelled to seek knowledge under many scholars who resided in Syria, Madina, Mecca, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan and more.
Shaykh Ninowy also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mircobiology from the University of Illinois and a Doctor of Medicine degree.
Shaykh Ninowy is the senior-in-residence scholar at Madina Masjid and institute in Atlanta, Georgia since 2000.

Shaykh Ninowy has established a global network of Madina Institute which all strive to carry the same message. Shaykh Muhammad focuses on reviving the call to Deen with a Back to Basics approach i.e. the Qur’an and Authentic Sunnah, in addition to teaching tolerance, peace and compassion.
Shaykh Muhammad is the founding director of “Planet Mercy” and Madina Institute & Seminary in the UK, South Africa, and Canada, and the USA.
Al-Ninowy is also the spiritual guide of the Alawi-Husayni-Ninowi Zawiyah; a Shadhili Rifa’i Sufi order.
