Mufti Monawwar Ateeq is a young Mufti from Birmingham, UK. He has spent they majority of his time studying and is currently doing a PhD in Islamic Law, University of Birmingham. as part of his studies he also teaches Arabic and the dars-nizami.

He regularly gives speeches around the UK in relation to contemporary issues and especially on defending the traditional scholarship in the understanding of the brelvis.

Some of his know interests include: Fatwa Councils, Shariah Advisory, advancement & education of Muslims in Diaspora, Arabic language, Islamic Studies (all of its disciplines), Cataloguing & Classification, Islamic rare materials and manuscripts from British India & Ottoman Hijaz, preservation of Muslim heritage, science & Islam.
